Disabled access & facilities
We make every effort to make the surgery accessible for disabled patients. There is disabled access through both main doors and our staff are always willing to help should you need it.
Hearing Difficulties
If you are experiencing hearing difficulties when being called in to see the doctor or nurse, please do let us know in order for us to set up an alert on your medical records and personally collect you from the waiting room.
Alternatively, we do have a portable induction loop. If you would like to use this, please ask at reception for assistance.
British sign language video relay service
We are pleased to offer a free British Sign Language (BSL) Video Relay Service (VRS) for our deaf patients and those whose preferred language is BSL.
The service allows you to contact our practice using a qualified BSL interpreter, making it easier to communicate with us without needing to use the telephone.
How it works
- Click the BSL Video Relay Service.
- A qualified BSL interpreter will connect with you by video.
- The interpreter will telephone our practice and interpret the conversation between you and our team.
- You can discuss appointments, prescriptions, test results or any other routine enquiries in BSL.
What you need
- A smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera and internet connection.
- No special software or downloads are required.
Is the service confidential?
Yes. All interpreters are fully qualified professionals who work to strict confidentiality standards.
