Ordering repeat prescription

The easiest way to order repeat prescriptions is via:

You can also:

  • Write a repeat prescription request form and mail us it.
  • Write a repeat prescription request and bring the paper form to the surgery, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm, or post it through the surgery letter box when we are closed.

Please note we operate a 48 hour turn around (during working hours) service on  prescriptions. For safety and accuracy reasons, we do not take repeat prescription requests over the telephone or via e-mail.

Collecting your prescription medicines

You can usually collect your prescription medicines from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after you have placed your order.

You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription medicines from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

  • on the NHS app or the website where you order repeat prescriptions
  • at your GP Practice
  • at any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions

If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
