Information for carers
A carer is anyone who provides unpaid help or support to a family member, partner, friend or neighbour because of illness, disability, frailty or mental health problems. Many people don't recognise themselves as carers.
Please tell us if you are a carer
Letting your GP practice know means we can:
- Record your caring responsibilities on your medical record.
- Consider your caring role when planning your healthcare.
- Signpost you to local support services.
- Ensure you receive any health checks or vaccinations you may be eligible for.
