Referral to a Consultant

If you have been “Referred to a Consultant” at hospital, you should hear from that Consultant within a period of time.

If you have not heard from them within the following time frames you must call The Medical Centre that you usually visit and speak to the Secretary on :

• (0113) 264 7278 at 846 York Road Surgery.
• (0113) 249 3011 at 143 Rookwood Avenue Surgery.

If you have been referred as an urgent case under the “Two Week Rule” or the “2 Week Wait” and have not heard anything from the consultant/hospital after 8 days or have not been seen by the consultant after 2 weeks, call the Practice secretary.

If you have been referred as a routine case and have not heard anything from the consultant/hospital after 8 weeks, call the Practice secretary.
